1. Agreement
By using Cheffin you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Cheffin is operated by Fullsuite Agency ("we", "us").
2. Your account
- You must be 13 or older.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
- Give us accurate information, and keep your email current so we can reach you.
- You may delete your account at any time in Settings.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. Where practical we will tell you why.
3. ⚠️ Food safety, allergens, and AI — read this
This section matters more than any other in this document.
Cheffin uses automated systems to generate, adapt, extract and filter recipes. That means:
- Recipes may contain errors. Quantities, cooking times, temperatures and techniques may be wrong, unsafe, or nonsensical. Use your own judgement.
- Allergen filtering is not a guarantee. You can tell us your allergens and we make a genuine effort to exclude them, but an automated system can miss something, mislabel an ingredient, or fail to account for a hidden source or cross-contamination. Always read ingredient labels yourself.
- Dietary and religious requirements are not guaranteed. This includes halal, vegan, vegetarian and similar. Verify anything that matters to you.
- Nutrition figures are estimates, often produced by an AI model, and should not be relied on for medical or dietary management.
- Imported recipes come from third-party websites and we do not verify them.
If you have a severe allergy, a medical condition, or a religious requirement you must not breach, do not rely on Cheffin alone. Check every ingredient against its packaging, and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
Cheffin is not a substitute for medical, dietary or religious advice.
Follow standard food-safety practice: cook to safe internal temperatures, store food properly, and do not rely on the app for these.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you create — your recipes, notes, collections and photos.
You grant us a licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate the app for you: saving it, showing it back to you, sending it to our AI providers to fulfil your requests, and backing it up. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in backups until they are overwritten.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it is not unlawful, abusive, or infringing.
5. Imported and third-party recipes
Cheffin can import recipes from URLs and search an index of recipes published elsewhere. Where we show or link to those:
- Copyright remains with the original publisher.
- We link back to the source.
- We do not claim ownership and do not endorse their accuracy.
If you are a rights holder and want content removed, contact support@cheffin.ai and we will act promptly.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Use Cheffin for anything unlawful
- Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to it
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute content in bulk
- Attempt to make the AI produce harmful, illegal, or dangerous output — including deliberately unsafe food preparation
- Impersonate anyone, or upload another person's data without their consent
7. Availability
We aim to keep Cheffin available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. Where a change is significant we will give reasonable notice.
8. Cost
Cheffin is currently free. If we introduce charges we will tell you before they apply to you. Any purchase made through the App Store is also governed by Apple's terms, and refunds are handled by Apple.
9. Liability
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. In Australia that includes guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law; in the UK/EU it includes your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Cheffin is provided "as is", without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
- We are not liable for loss or harm arising from reliance on recipe content, allergen filtering, dietary labelling, or nutrition estimates — see section 3.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to AUD $100.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before taking effect. Continuing to use Cheffin after that means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
